VMA 2013

Hi! How are you guys?

First, I want to say sorry because I haven't written any post for a lot of days. I'm sorry, but to compensate it, this post is going to be long!

Last night, the VMA's (one of the most important musical awards) were celebrated in Brooklyn, New York, in the Barclays Center. There, a lot of things happened!

First, the begining was epic. The famous Lady Gaga opened the night perfoming her new song, "Applause", from her upcoming album ARTPOP. And when I say "perfoming" I don't refer she only sang, but she also danced, she acted and she changed of clothes 4 times on the stage! The first outifit represented the "Born This Way" Era. This outfit, herself has confirmed by Twitter, was the Bloody Mary floating dress from her last tour. The next one represented "The Fame" Era, with her blond and short wig and her blue shining waistcoat. The third outfit represented the "The Fame Monster" Era. She was wearing the same as in the "Monster Ball Tour": a blond curly wig and a black top. The last one represented the future, ARTPOP. She was wearing a shell bikini (yes, a bikini made of shells) and a long blond wig. This woman won't never stop surprising us!

Then, after this amazing perfomance, One Direction went up the stage to hand the Best Pop Video Award, which was won by Selena Gómez for her video "Come & Get It". After this, Ed Sheeran, autor of "Lego House" and "The A Team", was on the stage ready to hand the Best Video With A Social Missage. The winners were Macklemore, Ryan Lewis and Mary Lambert for the song "Same Love" that talks about to be gay. And then he, Macklemore,, spoke about it. His speech was amazing, it was very nice. And then, an enormous teddy bear appeared on the stage.

A door in the big bear, opened and Miley Cyrus went out of the teddy bear. She began to twerk with all her dancers, dressed of bears. Then, the "We Can't Stop" melody began to sound and Miley, with two small ponytails and a top with a bear shape, began perfoming the song. The reaction of the audience wasn't very good, because of the twerking and some things not very apropiated... At the stage apeared a man, Robin Thicke and, with Miley, began to sing Blurred Lines and Give It 2 U. The perfomance was very good!

After the Best Hip Hop Video Awards, that Macklemore and Ryan Lewis win again, Jared Leto presented the Kanye West perfomance, "Blood On The Leaves". The stage became a forest full of trees and leaves and, in the middle, Kany West was perfoming the song.

Then, Daft Punk, Pharrell and Nile Rodgers were on the stage ready to hand the Best Female Video.
And now is when one of the most discussed topics happened: Taylor Swift won this awards for her video "I Knew You Were Trouble" that talks about a love that, how the name says, the boy was a trouble. Then, when shewent up the stage to recive the award, she thanked to all the team, the fans and the family. But she thanked another person too... "I also wanna thank the person who inspired this song who knows exactly who is, because now I've got on of this!" she said. And, how all the people knew, this person was Harry Styles, her short time boyfriend. Then, a lot of people began to criticize Taylor and defend Harry. Rihanna, for example, rumour has it that she said to him "You don't need this whore anyways..." and Lady Gaga left the room to speak with the band and defending them.

And now, we're gonna talk about the star of the night, Justin Timberlake, because if you remeber, a few days ago, MTV announced that "The Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award" was going to be handed to Justin Timberlake.

A few seconds after this little discussion of Taylor and Harry, Justin Timberlake was on the stage with his old band, 'N Sync, doing a great, amazing, fun and wonderful perfomance! All the audience was screaming, jumping, singing and dancing. They seemed crazy! This is one of the biggest perfomance that the VMA has had. Then, after this, Justin Timberlake, was receiving this award. He was very happy to have received it! He was so proud!

Then, One Direction won the Best Song Of The Summer Award for the "Best Song Ever" and, Austin Mahone won the Artist To Watch Award. After this, there were two perfomances: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Mary Lambert singed the nice and lovely song Same Love and Drake, with a medley of "Hold On, We're Going Home" and "Started From The Bottom". The last one was wonderful too!

After this, Bruno Mars received from Taylor Swift the Best Male Video for Locked Out Of Heaven. Bruno, a few minutes after this, was perfoming his new song "Gorilla" with a big screen on his back showing a gorilla. The song is amazing and the perfomance... So much better!

Now, we all knew that the night was finishing. Justin Timberlake won the Video Of The Year Award and, then, Allison Williams introduced the Katy Perry perfomance of her new song "Roar". But this perfomance was not on the stage of the VMA's. It was on the Brooklyn Bridge with a lot of cameras transmitting the perfomance to the VMA's. This final was fanstastic!
